It is said "Hollyhocks only grow at the door of a happy home." And I know why. They are messy flowers, and can take over if you let them. They also attract bees. Mine crowd my sidewalk and if my guest is afraid of bees they run away! My husband must really love me...he hates them but lets me grow tons of them...all over our yard!
