Star of Bethlehem, Merry Christmas! I've always loved Poinsettia's, at least since the Christmas season my adopted sister and her handsome husband and cute kiddos came Christmas Caroling to my home and brought me my first living Poinsettia. Never noticed them before. My Love Language is Gifts. Just the fact that they spent their hard earned money on a gift for me...and I've loved Poinsettias more and more as the years have gone by. It was time to paint one. I also love the symbolism. The color Red symbolizes the Blood of Christ which was shed for us, and the star shape of the petals represents the Star that guided the Wise Men to find the baby Jesus.
