Columbine is such a delicate little flower, and appears to be dancing. Growing profusely at the Fawson Farm here in my hometown of Grantsville, Utah, I wandered looking for the perfect painting, and I found this. Painting en plein air is something I love to do but I also love the control I have in my Art Studio. This is a combination piece, begun in plein air and finished in studio. I love what Columbine Flowers stand for, and have painted them many times, always in their environment.
