This figure personifies not only the young of our world but also the dawning of a new consciousness. Our young and future generations will have to confront and be confronted by a sea of global issues. The health of our plant is in their hands. My figures describe a character. I look at ways to include an environment that incorporates the stand into the story the scene has to tell. In this case, this young girl stands in the surf on a beach choked with litter which threatens to tangle her into its web.
