The Ultra Blue Turquoise Glow Sun has a turquoise glow emanating under the cool ultra marine. After much experimentation, I've learned a glaze layering technique to achieve this colorful depth. The color on this piece is special.
An indent to hang the sun has been carved in the back. Using a screw with a large head is suggested.
The sun has some hairline cracks from firing that are noticeable when looking at the back, and do not impact the beauty or durability of the art, at all. Please see photos.
I made this sun by pouring slip into a cast I made from the original art. I keep a sharp eye on it as it dries, and do minor fixes and such once the sun once removed.
