Christensen grew up in Lander, Wyoming. In 2007 he moved from Jackson Wyoming to Victor Wyoming where he lives now. Christensen went to Chadron State College in Nebraska. He originally was going on a football scholarship, but after a severe neck injury he decided to go for an art education degree. After getting his degree he ended up doing more painting than teaching, and later ended up doing both.
