The Castle of Perseverance is a small amphitheater or what the artist calls a 'ritual space.' Leicaster is part of a new generation of public artists who create what are generically called 'site-specific works. M.F.A. University of Minnesota, 1973; Andrew Leicester is an internationally-recognized public sculptor, who was chosen for this commission in a nationwide invitational.
