Run, Throw, Glide, Roll, Breathe brings together elements from each research group within the building, presenting these themes through vibrant, community-focused artwork. The piece uses bold colors to guide viewers as they navigate the hallways, inviting them to engage with the space through their own movements. The artwork is intentionally inclusive, representing individuals of all abilities and depicting mobility aids as integral parts of the story.

The artwork centers the UNO community, drawing from participatory light-painting workshops held in June 2024. These sessions involved real-time collaborative light-painting portraits and photographs taken during UNO’s community summer programs. The final compositions connect to the research areas across the two-story renovation. The entrance artwork celebrates children and families, while the central hallway highlights athletic performance and faculty research. Additional pieces upstairs emphasize family and community connections, reinforcing the building’s purpose as a hub for wellness, research, and inclusivity.
