Originally from Indiana, Lisa Lockman lives in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she has taught Ceramics, Metalsmithing, Non-Western Art History, and Intro to Creative Tech at Nebraska Wesleyan University since 1990. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
"Margaretha" is one of a series of generational wall murals representing the woman in my paternal ancestry. She is constructed of 8 concentric circular rows of 16 ceramic “links” of varying sizes. 128 links represent the generation of 7th great grandmothers.
