The King's Tree

This is a beautiful fig tree seen in Ala Moana Park in Honolulu, Hawaii. If you look closely, you will find the King sitting in his tree throne. Mixed media collage on a cradled wooden panel, made with hand-painted ephemera collected in Honolulu: receipts, bus schedules, wrapping paper, tourist literature in Chinese, Japanese and Korean, newsprint as well as mulberry paper. Wired and ready to hang.
