I painted this wonderful scene of the Salty Dawg in the marsh off Wilmington Island when I was in Savannah for a plein air competition, Georgia Color. It was a gorgeous October afternoon after having dropped off the competition paintings, so the pressure was off and I could simply enjoy painting in such a lovely location.
