La Compotier

Val Ramonis has brought to this series of watercolors a lively interpretation of the sights and scene his searching eye has discovered in travels through Europe and North And South America. It is as a cartoonist that Ramonis is better known; his cartoons have appeared in Lithuanian, Spanish and American periodicals.
The sprightly humor of his cartoons is reflected in these watercolors executed exclusively for the Vincent Price Collection. The spirited lines of his cartoons are joined with bright colors to produce miniature vigenettes of great charm. Ramonis was born in 1938, studied art in Venezuela, Los Angeles and Chicago and has had numerous exhibitions.
