Flowery

A flower grown from reclaimed redwood. Feel free to zoom in and check out the beautiful grain lines and notice how they curve and flow in the carved out areas. The flow and interplay of the wood grain is the 4th dimension of my three dimensional work. What makes this piece also very special is the wood - it is very difficult and rare to find old reclaimed boards that are 16 inches wide and have beautiful meandering grain lines without knots.
