A striking black and white acrylic painting, "Beautiful Tiger Cub" captures the essence of a curious cub, brimming with life and promise.
The powerful imagery serves as a poignant reminder of the challenges faced by these magnificent creatures in a world where their very existence is threatened.
Each detail reflects the unique personality of this innocent explorer, reminding us of the beauty and fragility of these magnificent creatures as they navigate their world.
I wrote a poem for this one:
'Beautiful tiger cub
So young and so free
A life full of promise
If only it would be
Born a species so lovely
A coat so admired
A face so sweet
You could never grow tired
Full of life and adventure
You are here for a reason
But others have plans
That commit utmost treason
They lust for your coat
And other parts of your body
You cannot survive this
For that they’re not sorry
No reason for this
Pure selfishness I fear
But there are many who care
Who do shed a tear
For your life, your value
In a world so deceiving
We continue to fight
We continue believing
That poachers and hunters
We can keep them at bay
So you may stay safe
To live another day
But your home is also shrinking
The wild torn apart
The destruction is appalling
It hits right in the heart
Has it been left too late
Too late to renew
Your home, your survival
What’s important to you
We can only continue
This fight to amend
All the damage we’ve done
Before it’s the end.'
