A possum box is a common sight from decks overlooking bushy suburbs in Brisbane and possums are regular visitors to people's homes when they are in search of an easy meal.

This work was commenced in situ during travels around Australia in 2016, but when it was being completed in the studio, the terrible bushfires of the 2019-20 summer were in full swing. For this reason it seemed appropriate to leave it largely monochromatic reflecting the ashiness of many landscapes from that time.
