"This unique symbolic landscape expands the feeling of shore life and diverse life stages in an inimitable setting. The figure is located lower than a house, but the figure is not in the foreground, which suggests that the road in the middle of the painting is in the foreground. The artist leads us to observe these two subjects, which creates tension between the figure and the house in the countryside. We often detect this kind of placement in Edward Hopper's paintings. We sense humanity. This painting possesses terrific composition and psychological/pictorial movement."
