This tankard was won in an Instagram giveaway conducted by the artist. It is a North Carolina clay body; the rim and interior have an ash glaze the artist made, while the lower portion of the mug has a raw salt glaze. The piece was fired in Ben Owen's chamber wood kiln for just more than four days.
