Hundreds of pollinators visit my garden every summer day. An uncommon visitor is the cuckoo bee. The cuckoo bee does not build a hive of it's own, but will invite itself into honey bee hives and lay eggs there to be cared for by the nurse bees until it emerges as a mature bee and leaves the hive, perhaps to feed from the nectar of a nearby cosmos flower.
