A classic East London cafe that has been running since 1900 by the same Italian family ever since. The cafe and restaurant has been awarded Grade II listed status by English Heritage for its ornate wood-carved interior and the food is prepared by Mamma Maria who has worked there since 1961. Lots of famous (and infamous) East End celebrities have been pictured here including the Kray twins. A must visit if you're in Bethnal Green for a step back in time.
