This piece (Scorch) was inspired by weather data from the Donnie Creek wildfire that began in May 2023.
The Donnie Creek Fire was discovered on May 12, 2023, near Fort Nelson and became B.C.’s largest wildfire in recorded history after burning 1.5 million acres and was caused by lightning.
