Longing, self-portrait

Have you ever felt love for something, anything intensely? Is that feeling give us an insight into what we are capable of in a relationship? I painted Longing a self-portrait while I lived in Rhodes, Greece. I was enjoying my life and art tremendously but I was missing a deeply personal human connection, one that would equal my love for art.
