Hope One, the airplane Michael Combs flew while setting multiple aviation world records, arrived in Colorado yesterday in preparation her induction into the Wings Over the Rockies Museum later in August. First though, Michael F. Combs will be speaking about his adventures and taking photos with Hope One at a fundraising event tonight for the Colorado Association of Realtors. The event was a sold out and will have nearly 400 attendees, a record attendance for the annual event.
Rare proof copies of Combs' most recent painting entitled Deconstructing Time and one of his other popular paintings entitled The End of the Day will be auction off for charity. Additionally, during the live auction, memorabilia from Combs' historic aviation endeavor will be included in the live auction.
