Ralph Dubin
1919-1988
Dubin went to Brooklyn College where he earned a M.A. and M.F.A. degrees. He studied under James Lechay at the American Artist School. Also with Raphael Soyer and Stuart Davis. He attended the Beaux Artes in Nancy, France. At the Brooklyn Museum Art School he studied with Ben Shahn and Gabor Prterdi, and Hans Hoffman.
He was a teacher at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, Queens College, High School for Music and Art, and the New School for Social Research in New York City.
Dubin exhibited in many group and one man shows mostly in the New York region.
A large retrospective of his work was held at the Westbeth Gallery in New York City in 2002.
