Excellent Condition - Minor wear consistent with age and history.
Mid century cubist painting signed by artist Erik Martin, in paint, lower right. Oil on board c. 1950-1960's. Canvas board measures 9 1/2"x14 1/2". Piece is framed with a wood frame painted silver and black and measures 12 1/4"x1 1/2"x17 1/4". In his early career as a painter, Erik Martin lived and painted in New York. He was never interested in selling his work. I have seen paintings of his dated as early as 1938 and as late as 1994. He had a long career. Later in life he moved to Oakland, CA with his partner and together they opened a frame shop called, "Something Special Frames".
