- copperplate etching on handmade paper
The Florence Portfolio was a collaborative project sponsored
by Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA) on the theme of Sacrifice in the Old and New Testaments. The suite of 20 intaglio prints were created by CIVA artists who lived and worked together for one month in Florence, Italy and were produced at the Santa Reparata Graphic Art Centre in Florence Italy.
The Florence Portfolio was printed by Normal Editions Workshop, Illinois State University under the direction of Richard Finch. The handmade paper for the project was created by Meda and Veda Rives, Mirror Image Press, Virden, ILL. The Portfolio is in the collection of the Vatican Museum of Contemporary Art, Vatican City, the Armand Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, and several private and college collections.
