This beautiful building is sits on West Street in La Velletta - and is a great example of the limestone brick work so prevalent throughout Malta. The honey color of the bricks is apparently what helped give Malta its original name of Melita - meaning honey. So far this is my largest piece in the Malta Collection and really is beautiful with its 4 levels, all with a little different color.
This Driftwood was found on the south shores of Crete Greece, and is very light weight and uniquely shaped. It is full of small holes that are mostly made from a type of barnacle native here in the Mediterranean. A few of the holes still have the dried out shells - how interesting and unique... art with barnacles .... only with Paint The World Tour :)
