Syed Alwi Road caught my attention because it has a row of beautiful Shophouses like this with the round windows - very unique. The area is part of Little India and has a colorful history dating back to the early 1900s.
This piece of wood was found floating in the currents of Palau Tioman with a twin not far away. I imagine it wasn’t in the water for long otherwise the white original paint would have been more deteriorated. It’s one of those mystery pieces that we have no idea where it originated - it does however make a very beautiful Shophouse.
