This is a very unique piece of driftwood I found in the Anambas Islands of Indonesia, the bow piece of an old fishing canoe. The wood used in these canoes is very light weight, buoyant, and resists saturating with water - perfect for a small one man boat.
After having it onboard for years I finally had inspiration to give it a new life. The Praying lady is a well known mural in the city of Penang, MY , and the Shop-house is a classic 3 story Heritage building on Lebuh Pantai. Together they create a nice 3 dimensional piece that looks nice either on the wall, or mixed in with plants or lighting on a table.
