Fondamenta roughly translates to “block” - however Burano being an old fishing village was built around water access and doesn’t really have blocks. As usual though he bright yellow caught my attention and I absolutely had to paint this cute house.
The wood is very light in weight and it’s difficult to say what it’s original purpose was. We found it as a fairly long board and needed to cut it down to a reasonable size. The natural hole at the top level worked out perfectly for the window - I painted in the flowers but it would make a great effect to have an air-plant or similar growing from here.
