ITALY - Calle Caletta, Burano

As you can see by the pictures in the gallery - I stood in the doorway of this house as my also rain soaked daughter took the picture. Venice was extremely enjoyable even in the rain.

The wood I selected for this piece had nearly the perfect color match of blue. I made a few changes from the original house - for example there were a few pairs of underwear hanging on the line which I conveniently did not paint in. For me it’s a real pleasure painting an house that I physically touched and admired - that additional connection just seems to add something.
