These drawings were made on-site in the spirit of exploration and discovery.
The antique prints were incorporated into the installation after the drawings. They include lithographs from the USPRR (United States Pacific Rail Road) Expeditions and Surveys, 1853-1855 and hand-colored wood engravings from illustrated newspapers from the 1800's. The drawings were done with a seed pod from a local tree dipped in India ink and are the result of Nemirov's personal encounters with the trees in the Parque del Ebro, Logroño, La Rioja, Spain, where the artist was living in 2012-2013.
