DRAINAGE is a collage comprised of "tesserae-like" pieces of paper that are the small rectangles from the legend of a topographic map. In this particular piece from the LEGENDS series the color blue represents water and it is fascinating to see what the cartographer created, an abstraction for each aspect of the aquatic landscape.
