Cherry Bomb! is part of a bigger series, entitled Sweet Blasts!, which illustrates a vivid representation of humanity’s intersection and interference, for better or worse, in the natural processes by combining the high explosive potential of a hand grenade fuse with the basic staples of our diet. From processed foods like maraschino cherries to the resource intensive industrialized meat and fish products, each image features hyper-idealized subjects with obsessive commercial perfection, punctured by Man’s ability to blow it all up.
