Love is wild, love is complicated. Love has the power to stop time and freeze the world around us. This piece was inspired by the various layers of emotions we go through in any given moment. While we can have complete clarity, there are always forces at play beyond our control. Magic perhaps!? Using a mix of iconic cartoon characters that a majority of people can recognize and relate to (Tweety Bird and Jokey Smurf), I worked to showcase a little bit of the hidden magic that drives us to fall in love. So many of our interactions in society are fueled by love; the need for it and the constant push to showcase it to the world around us. The quote "Sometimes life gets in the way of living" is an automatic-writing meant to let people know its okay to be less regimented on perfectionism and letting our lives be governed by time. It's okay to be wild and live in the moment! I've always been fascinated and drawn toward 'time' (or rather the freezing of it) and dreams in my artwork.
