This full-face mask is based on the guardian statues found at Buddhist temples throughout Japan. It has a combination of human and demon facial features, including three brown horns (the largest of which is made from carved water buffalo), sizeable round copper eyes, big pointed ears, a grimacing face with flared nostrils, a gaping mouth with pointed teeth, and brown painted facial hair along the ears, eyebrows, and chin.
