Fraxie. Full-face mask used in performances by Childsplay theater company in Tempe, Arizona. It has purple and red ribbons and is painted with dark blue eyebrows, a dark blue nose, and teeth surrounded by blue and purple outlines. The forehead had a large pink v-shaped swirl, with an orange dot at the center and a green droplet above it. The eyes are outlined in light blue with pink above, the cheeks have pink, blue, and orange swirls, and the chin has a sizeable pink W with smaller orange and blue lines above and below.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
