Dentón. Half mask of human figure, carved wood, with acrylic paints. A study in carving. Artist was trying out different techniques. Face is very stylized and distorted with exaggerated large upper lip and one large tooth coming out of upper lip. Forehead/brow area has carved semi-circular lines at start of painted brown eyebrows. Cheeks and nose tinted pink. Lines carved to outline mouth area. Upper lip painted bright pink, with lighter pink paint to show the gum area around the painted white tooth.
