Calaca #32. Full face mask used in performances by Primavera Folklorico Dance company of Phoenix, AZ. It has a light purple nose, and its eyes are surrounded by thick red outlines reaching up onto the forehead where there are two gems in blue and yellow above which is a blue V-shaped design with two more blue gems at the size. The cheeks have upside-down red V-like designs with red gems and purple swirls outside them with more red gems. The chin has a large red W, a purple gem underneath, and a small blue V-shaped design at the bottom.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
