Bug Eyes

Funny Face Series created as an addition to the Mercado Collection, available for purchase. Artist, Zarco Guerrero created these masks to add more variety at festivals. After realizing the large number of aggressive-faced masks he produced, he decided it was time to lighten the air with two new series of masks; the 2024 Sonrisa & Funny Face Series. By creating the new mask series, the artist payed tribute to traditional themes used in Mexican art and provided a special element of humor and cheerfulness displayed for festivals and the mercado.

Tan skin tone base with darker wrinkle lines throughout entire face. Large, round eyes with visible eye white. Pupils carved out. Small eyelid surface. Smile with top row of teeth displayed only. Eight teeth. Small tooth gap between in the middle. Pink, medium sized lips with creases throughout. Chin dimple with a crease line on each side of the chin. Pointy nose tip.
