This audacious mixed media collage began as an intuitive exploration in greens and oranges, then evolved into something bolder. Layers of torn paper strips from a nearby sun painting were strategically placed across the composition, joined by unexpected drips salvaged from the studio floor. Each element was deliberately refined and simplified to create a cohesive whole. The narrow, curved forms that emerged suggested something primal and untamed—a spine, a structure, a framework. That visual tension inspired the title. At 13.5 x 16.5 inches, this piece captures the raw energy of spontaneous creation meeting intentional design.
