I worked on two paintings side by side. Each has its own expressions, although the colors are the same.
I mixed silver with the paint for the first time. I love the magical iridescence sheen it lends to the piece.
I used soft pastels for mark-making. Watered-down acrylic paint is used to soak through the canvas ala Helen Frankenthaler. I love using her technique.
The final paintings both look like underwater scenes. This one appears to be a scene that is completely submerged underwater with the surface of the water visible. A periscope pops out of the surface water allowing the search for evidence of life. That is what I see. You may see something entirely different.
