Forsythia reminds me of my home in Pittsburgh where my parents had one growing off the front porch. It brought my mother so much joy as it bloomed every year around Easter. Seeing its lemon-yellow blossoms, I knew that other Spring flowers were not far behind. Seeing the bright yellow paired with blue is a classic combination.
