Sunflowers

Sunflowers are something that always seem to inspire me to paint them. I have done both pastels and oil paintings in either still life, or a landscape. This time I wanted to do a little bit of abstraction around the sunflowers. It is more about the feeling of an explosion of yellow flowers than a photographic rendering of the flowers and leaves. They are like little people and turning to talk to the ones next to them, or following the sun, as sunflowers tend to do. What does it make you feel and see?
