Uno, Velatura di Spazio by Mark Stafford Image: Collectors note: These works began with sheets of foam and slices in their surface and were then folded, translated, or self-inverted and painted with epoxies and pigments. These small versions of macrocosmic singularities and the anatomy of our universe veiled by time were inspired by the representation of the figure and anatomy during our first Renaissance, using nothing but dust from earthen structures and metals bound by resins to create semi-translucent velaturas.
