The fruits in this painting are from Cezanne's Still Life with Quince, Apples and Pears. Cezanne's art, and Modernist paintings, have become so ubiquitous as an accepted form of decoration that the title Still Life with... has become like the lead-in Two-guys-walk-into-a-bar... In response, I have placed the fruit in the middle of a landscape.
