This is an oil painting on a 24" x 8" wood panel of the small container next to my kitchen sink in which I place food scraps before taking them out to my compost bin by my garden. The container includes a banana peel, a piece of carrot and a piece of potato. The container is surrounded by other items on my counter top, including a glass and cylinders for holding utensils. The image is painted on the front of the panel while the sides, 1.5" deep, are left as natural wood.
