This is a painting of the rocks at the bottom of a shallow river. Lately, I am enjoying depicting the layering that happens in nature. There is the surface of the water, the bottom of the river, the shadows cast by bubbles and ripples, and in some situations, reflection of trees and sky. It gets a little confusing at times and I am still learning the language to depict this.
