I had a neighbor who was controlled by her husband. He monitored her comings and goings and she wore coverings whenever she was around him. When he wasn't home she wouldn't wear those coverings. She couldn't say hello in passing while with him. I could hear them fighting at all hours. One day she worked up the courage to leave, and she smiled at me as she left.
