Some paintings don’t reveal themselves all at once. They hold fragments that soften, shift and settle into something new.
When I was working on this one, I kept thinking how we are continuously evolving, every day. We are not the same as the day before. We have aged, breathe, lived, moved, transformed. These changes are not obvious we can only recognise ourselves anew after pausing and slowing down.
