Our Nature is a meditation on the quiet parallels between the human body and the natural world. Inspired by Lucretius’ De Rerum Natura, the work explores the idea that we are made of the same materials as the earth, moving through similar cycles of change, renewal, and decay. Textures drawn from medical imaging merge with organic forms, blurring the boundary between what is human and what is landscape.Through bold, gestural marks and layered surfaces, the painting becomes both a map and a mirror – an invitation to pause and recognise our shared fragility and resilience.
